A tragic house fire in the northwest London borough of Brent has claimed the lives of four members of a British family of Pakistani origin, according to UK media reports.
Emergency services responded to the blaze at a residential property on Tillett Close in Stonebridge at approximately 1:22 a.m. on Saturday.
A 43-year-old woman and three children — a 15-year-old girl, an eight-year-old boy, and a four-year-old boy — were pronounced dead at the scene.
British media have reported that a man has been arrested on suspicion of murder, as authorities are treating the fire as a suspected arson attack. While investigations are ongoing, no further details about the suspect have been released at this time.
Two additional victims — a 70-year-old woman and a young girl — were rescued from the property and transported to hospital with injuries. Their current condition has not been disclosed.
The victims’ next of kin have been notified, and police are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
The family had reportedly migrated to the United Kingdom from Pakistan nearly 20 years ago. The devastating incident has sent shockwaves through the local community, with residents expressing grief and disbelief. Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the fire and any underlying criminal motives.
