Casualties Rise as Ground Operations Intensify
Tel Aviv: The Israel Defense Forces confirmed on Tuesday that four soldiers were killed during ongoing combat operations in southern Lebanon. The military identified three of the เฆจเฆฟเฆนเฆค as Captain Noam Madmoni, Staff Sergeant Ben Cohen, and Staff Sergeant Maxsim Entis, while authorities have withheld the fourth name pending clearance.
According to the IDF, the incident also left two additional soldiers wounded. One sustained serious injuries, whereas the other suffered moderate wounds. Officials stated that authorities have informed the families of all affected personnel.
Moreover, the latest deaths bring the total number of Israeli soldiers killed in Lebanon to nine since the launch of Operation Roaring Lion on February 28. The military continues targeted ground operations in the ุงูุฌููุจ, aiming to counter militant threats along the border.
Civilian Toll Mounts Amid Continued Rocket Fire
Meanwhile, the broader conflict has also taken a toll on civilians. Israeli authorities reported that 22 civilians have died since the start of the war due to rocket and missile attacks launched from Lebanon and Iran.
In a recent incident, 43-year-old Uri Peretz was killed in the northern city of Nahariya after a direct rocket strike. The attack, attributed to Hezbollah, also injured at least 25 people.
Furthermore, officials warned that continued cross-border fire could escalate tensions further. As a result, military operations and retaliatory actions remain ongoing, raising concerns about a prolonged and widening conflict in the region.
