Security forces conducted a major intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Balochistan’s Kalat district, killing four terrorists associated with the Indian-backed proxy group Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), also referred to as Fitnaul Hindustan, the military’s media wing said on Tuesday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was launched on the night of November 1 following credible intelligence regarding the presence of terrorists in the area.
During the operation, security personnel engaged the militants in an intense exchange of fire, resulting in the deaths of four BLA members.
The ISPR stated that the operation was part of the ongoing nationwide efforts to eradicate terrorism and dismantle networks involved in anti-state activities.
Weapons and Ammunition Seized
Arms and ammunition were recovered from the possession of the slain terrorists, including materials used in recent acts of sabotage and terrorist attacks across the country.
Following the encounter, security forces launched a thorough search of the surrounding area to track down any remaining elements linked to the terrorist network.
