Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar will undertake an official visit to the People’s Republic of China to co-chair the 7th round of the Pakistan–China Foreign Ministers’ Strategic Dialogue, scheduled to be held in Beijing on January 4, 2026.
The visit is being undertaken at the invitation of Wang Yi, Member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of China, Director of the Office of the Central Commission for Foreign Affairs, and Minister for Foreign Affairs of China.
The Strategic Dialogue represents the highest-level consultative mechanism between Pakistan and China and serves as a comprehensive forum for in-depth discussions on the full spectrum of bilateral relations.
During the Dialogue, the two sides will review progress across key areas of cooperation, including political engagement, economic collaboration, development partnership, regional connectivity, and people-to-people exchanges.
The Foreign Ministers will also exchange views on regional and international developments of mutual interest, reaffirming their close coordination on global and regional issues.
The visit forms an important part of the regular high-level exchanges between Pakistan and China and underscores the enduring strength of their All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership.
It reflects the shared commitment of both countries to further broaden and deepen bilateral cooperation, while jointly promoting regional peace, stability, and sustainable development.
A key highlight of the Dialogue will be the announcement of a series of initiatives and commemorative activities to mark the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China in 2026. These activities will celebrate the historic friendship between the two countries and reaffirm their resolve to carry the partnership forward into the future.
The visit is expected to further consolidate Pakistan-China relations, enhance strategic mutual trust, and contribute to advancing shared objectives in line with the aspirations of the peoples of both countries.
