ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’sย Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi today left for China on a three-day visit on the special invitation extended by State Councilor and Foreign Minister of China Wang Yi.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) today announced that FM Qureshi will attend the meeting of Foreign Ministers of Neighboring Countries of Afghanistan, which is being held today (March 29).
The Foreign Minister will interact with his counterparts from different countries participating in the moot in China.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi will also meet his Russian and Iranian counterparts and discuss with them mutual cooperation.
According to MOFA, “Pakistan fully supports a regional approach on Afghanistan for promoting durable peace and stability in the region. Pakistan will continue to support the international communityโs efforts to advance the shared objectives of a peaceful, stable, sovereign, prosperous and connected Afghanistan.”
It may be recalled that Pakistan was the first to initiate the Neighbouring Countries format in September 2021, to evolve a regional approach on the Afghan crisis, by hosting the first meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Neighbouring Countries on 8 September 2021.
