Mayor Announces Rs100 Million Aid and Support for the Martyr’s Family
Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab visited Furqan’s home to offer condolences. He announced a financial aid package of Rs100 million for the martyr’s family. The mayor praised Furqan’s courage and called his sacrifice an example of true dedication.
Mayor Wahab announced that the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) will provide a job to Furqan’s widow. He also said KMC will cover all educational expenses for the child. The move is aimed at ensuring long-term support for the family.
The mayor further stated that the Nazimabad Fire Station would be renamed after Shaheed Furqan Ali. This decision is meant to honor his service and keep his memory alive.
Wahab also confirmed that all retirement benefits and salaries will continue to be paid to the widow. He said the KMC stands by its firefighters and will support them and their families in every difficult hour.
Municipal Commissioner Karachi Syed Muhammad Afzal Zaidi and other senior officials accompanied the mayor during the visit. Their presence highlighted the city’s commitment to supporting the family of the fallen hero.
