ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has announced the establishment of a Customs Command Fund to bolster anti-smuggling operations nationwide.
According to the official notification, the fund will be used to support enforcement activities, including advance payments of up to Rs 500,000 to individuals who provide credible intelligence leading to the seizure of smuggled goods.
The fund will also cover operational expenses tied to anti-smuggling efforts and provide performance-based rewards to customs officers involved in successful actions, with the goal of enhancing both efficiency and morale within the department.
