ISLAMABAD: Former ISI chief and ex-Lt-General Faiz Hameed has been awarded 14 years imprisonment for violating the Army Act.
The ISPR, a media wing of the Pakistan Army, disclosed this breaking news today. The accused Faiz Hameed was found guilty of four charges. He has been sentenced by the Field General Court Marshal, ISPR added.
According to ISPR, the trial of Faiz Hameed was conducted for 15 months, which led to his 14-year rigorous imprisonment.
The military’s media affairs wing said in a statement that the process of Field General Court Martial was initiated against Hameed on August 12, 2024 under provisions of the Pakistan Army Act, spreading over 15 months.
“The accused was tried on four charges related to engaging in political activities, violation of Official Secret Act detrimental to safety and interest of the state, misuse of authority and government resources and causing wrongful loss to persons.
“After lengthy and laborious legal proceedings, the accused has been found guilty on all charges and sentenced to 14 years rigorous imprisonment.”
The statement said that the sentence was “promulgated on December 11, 2025”.
