ISLAMABAD:The Food Security and Agriculture Center of Excellence (FACE) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Punjab Agriculture Department to advance agricultural development in the region, according to a press release.
As a not-for-profit organization, FACE has partnered with the Punjab Government to bring innovative solutions and international expertise to the agriculture sector. The collaboration aims to enhance crop yields, promote sustainable farming practices, and address challenges posed by climate change, according to the Mettis Global News.
Under the agreement, FACE will assist the Punjab Agriculture Department by introducing technological innovations, leveraging global expertise, and supporting infrastructure development tailored to the region’s needs.
Punjab Agriculture Minister Syed Ashiq Hussain expressed confidence in the partnership’s potential to tackle critical issues, including food security, low productivity, and the adverse effects of climate change.
Hasan Akram, Chief Operating Officer of FACE, reaffirmed the organization’s dedication to empowering farmers. “Our goal is to equip farmers with modern techniques and international knowledge to foster growth and resilience in Punjab’s agriculture sector,” he stated.
This collaboration marks a significant step toward modernizing agriculture and ensuring a sustainable future for farming communities in Punjab.
