EU Program Offers Joint Degree With Full Funding
Students seeking a fully funded opportunity to study at leading European universities can apply for the Erasmus Mundus GLOCAL Scholarship 2026. The scholarship supports a joint Master’s degree in Global and Local Markets (GLOCAL) and is funded by the European Union. Through this program, selected students can study at multiple European institutions while receiving comprehensive financial support.
Erasmus Mundus serves as the European Union’s flagship higher education initiative and supports elite joint Master’s programs delivered by international university consortia. The GLOCAL program forms part of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters framework and focuses on global markets, local innovation, and creative industries. By combining academic mobility with interdisciplinary training, the program aims to prepare graduates for careers in international policy, business, and cultural sectors.
Funding Coverage and Payment Options Explained
Successful candidates will receive full tuition coverage, including any required deposits, as tuition costs are jointly covered by the GLOCAL consortium. In addition, the scholarship provides full insurance coverage for the entire study period. Students also receive a monthly living allowance throughout the two-year program. Furthermore, the scholarship includes an optional contribution toward travel and installation costs, such as visas, residence permits, and temporary accommodation.
After accepting the offer, recipients can choose between two payment options. Under the first option, students receive three advance payments of €1,000 each to support travel and installation. These payments are scheduled for August before the first semester, May 2026 at the end of Year One, and September 2026 at the start of Year Two. The remaining allowance is paid at €1,275 per month. Alternatively, students may choose a standard payment of €1,400 per month for the full two years without advance payments.
To be eligible, applicants must hold a conditional or unconditional offer from the University of Glasgow. Candidates must submit all required documents by 15 January 2026 at 13:00 UK time.
