YouTube has once again removed Chahat Fateh Ali Khan’s song “Badoo Badi”

Chahat Fateh Ali Khan’s rollercoaster with his song “Badoo Badi” on YouTube took another turn recently, as the video-sharing platform once again removed the track shortly after its brief reinstatement.

Initially elated by the song’s return to his channel, where it had amassed nearly 30 million views following viral popularity on platforms like Instagram Reels and TikTok, Chahat’s joy was short-lived.

The video had previously been taken down due to a complaint from the official channel of the late legendary singer Noorjahan, resulting in a strike against it.

However, after the strike was lifted, the video faced another hurdle — it was reported for copyright infringement by another channel, leading to its deletion once more.

Earlier attempts by Chahat to navigate these issues included releasing a second video of the same song, which also received a copyright strike. Although YouTube did not remove this video, the strike prevented it from being monetized, impacting the singer’s earnings.

Despite these setbacks, Chahat recently unveiled “Bado Badi 2” on Eid-ul-Adha, opting not to upload it to YouTube to avoid further complications. Instead, he chose to debut the song on his official Facebook, X, and Instagram accounts.

In an interview with Geo News, Chahat expressed his decision to refrain from using the song on YouTube to prevent future troubles. The new version features a different model, as the original video’s model, Wajdan Rao, had parted ways with Chahat amid allegations that she had been paid only Rs5,000 for her work.

Looking ahead, Chahat hinted at releasing additional versions of “Bado Bado,” indicating his determination to explore different renditions of his viral hit despite the challenges posed by copyright issues on YouTube.
