Yashma Gill Clarifies She Has Not Quit Acting

Social media is buzzing with speculation about whether Pakistani actor Yashma Gill has exited the entertainment industry after attending a public event led by religious scholar Dr. Zakir Naik in Karachi.

Gill attended the scholarly session, hosted at Karachi’s Governor House on Sunday, where Dr. Naik, currently visiting Pakistan, addressed a large crowd.

During a question-and-answer segment, Gill introduced herself as an actor, stirring further curiosity about her career. Dr. Naik’s interaction with Gill has fueled online discussions.

A screenshot of Yashma Gill’s Instagram story also circulated widely. In the videos, she shared her journey from atheism back to faith, inspired by Dr. Naik’s videos.

In response to her question, Dr. Naik mistakenly referred to her as a former actor, which has sparked further speculation about her status in showbiz.

In an Instagram post, Gill clarified that she attended the event the previous evening, where she had the chance to ask Dr. Naik about personal challenges.

She explained, “I made a statement which may not have come across clearly due to the crowd’s noise and mic issues, possibly causing the impression that I have left acting.

“I want to clear any misunderstandings. I am still acting and mentioned my profession before asking my question. Watching the full video from the beginning should provide better clarity,” she added.

Gill also mentioned she remains uncertain about the future as she continues to navigate a balance between her faith and her career in acting.

“I deeply respect Dr. Zakir Naik’s views, as he played a significant role in rekindling my faith. It was an honor to meet him, and I encourage others to attend his future talks,” she concluded.
