Inside the Life of Zahara, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s Daughter, Amidst Her Parents’ Legal Battle
Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt, 19, appears to be thriving and enjoying herself despite the ongoing legal battles between her parents, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Recently, Zahara has captured attention on social media with a lively dance video set to “Back Outside” by Anycia and Latto.
In the video shared by TikTok user @ajahh.mariah, Zahara is seen dancing with her sorority sisters from Alpha Kappa Alpha—the first historically Black sorority—at Spelman College. Dressed in an olive green tank top, jean shorts, and sneakers, Zahara joins her group, all wearing various shades of green, in a joyful dance circle.
The video has received enthusiastic responses, with comments praising Zahara’s vibrant college experience. One user expressed delight, writing, “The excitement I felt seeing Zahara!!! Go ahead and live your best college life, girl! Yasssss!” Another commented, “Zahara has found her people,” and a third noted, “Zahara is having the time of her life.”
Zahara joined Alpha Kappa Alpha in 2023, a year after her mother, Angelina Jolie, dropped her off at college in Atlanta in August 2022. At a sorority luncheon last year, Zahara notably dropped her father’s surname during her introduction, a gesture that took place in his absence while Jolie and her brothers Pax and Maddox were present.
A video from Essence shows Zahara introducing herself at the event: “My name is Zahara Marley Jolie. Coming all the way from the Golden State in the city full of angels, Los Angeles, California. I am this line’s number seven.”
Brad Pitt, 60, has expressed pride in Zahara amidst their strained relationship and the protracted legal issues with Jolie. Despite the family’s challenges, Zahara’s achievements include launching a philanthropic jewelry line in 2019 to support House of Ruth, a battered women’s shelter in Los Angeles.
The couple shares six children: Maddox, 23, Pax, 20, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 16. Zahara was adopted by Jolie from Ethiopia in 2005, with Pitt later adopting her. She currently maintains a low profile on social media.
