Actor Ushna Shah recently announced that she has tested positive for Covid-19. She took to social media to inform her followers and friends of the news.
Shah — who has starred in television serials such as Bashar Momin and Alif Allah Aur Insaan — posted her health update on Instagram. “Even with the two mandatory doses of the vaccine, I have tested positive for Covid-19,” Shah wrote in the post.
She continued, “I am a relatively healthy person with a strong immune system but the bug got through, and the symptoms are extremely unpleasant. I shudder to think what would have happened had I not been vaccinated. I urge everyone to wear masks, get vaccinated, and take all necessary precautions to protect themselves! Covid-19 is not a joke and the Delta variant is certainly not to be taken lightly.”
The Bashar Momin actor also apologized to those she has been in physical contact with recently. “To those, I met recently, I vehemently apologize. I assumed it was just a viral- It wasn’t until the fever became unbearable and I lost my sense of smell that I thought to get tested,” she wrote.
“I am so sorry,” she stressed.
Celebrities such as actors Mira Sethi, Aijaz Aslam, Haroon Shahid, and model Sunita Marshall wished Shah good health and a speedy recovery in the comments section.
Earlier this year, celebrities such as actors Adnan Siddiqui, Marina Khan, and singer Momina Mustehsan tested positive for Covid-19 as well. They asked their followers to strictly observe all necessary precautions in order to stay protected.
