tikToker Ayesha Akram, has forgiven all those accused in connection with the Greater Iqbal Park incident

TikToker Ayesha Akram has chosen to pardon all the individuals accused of allegedly harassing her at Greater Iqbal Park.

The case was heard by Lahore Additional Sessions Judge Gul Abbas, where Ayesha Akram submitted an affidavit stating her decision not to pursue legal action against the accused. In her affidavit, she expressed forgiveness towards all the accused for the sake of Allah Almighty.

“I have no objection to the acquittal of the accused. I am providing this statement to the court willingly and without any coercion,” her statement reads.

Among the accused, Aamir Sohail alias Rambo and 11 others had filed petitions seeking acquittal following an order issued in August.

The incident, which allegedly involved harassment of the female TikToker by a crowd, was reported at Lahore’s Lorry Adda police station in August 2021. Initially, Akram had named 13 suspects, including her associate Aamir Sohail alias Rambo, who was with her at Greater Iqbal Park on the day of the incident.

Akram had informed the police that Sohail orchestrated the incident, alleging that he and some of his associates recorded obscene videos of her. She accused Sohail of using these videos for blackmail, claiming he had extorted Rs1 million from her so far. She also mentioned giving him half of her earnings as part of the extortion.

The FIR was registered under sections 354 A (assault or use of criminal force against a woman and stripping her of her clothes), 382 (theft after preparation made for causing death, hurt, or restraint in order to commit theft), 147 (rioting), and 149 (unlawful assembly) of the Pakistan Penal Code.

Ayesha Akram is recognized for her engaging and creative content on TikTok, where she connects with her audience through various videos. However, her privacy was compromised when leaked videos surfaced, triggering widespread attention on social media platforms.
