Right after its release, The Legend of Maula Jatt became a huge success both in Pakistan and abroad. As the movie enters the 150 Crore Club at the box office, it marks a historic moment for Pakistani cinema.
The film masterpiece The Legend of Maula Jatt is what Pakistani cinema deserved to be when it was revived.
In 25 different countries, The Legend of Maula Jatt was shown on more than 500 screens. This was the Pakistani film’s biggest and most widespread release to date. Its creators claim that it is the most popular Punjabi movie ever.

We are incredibly proud of how The Legend of Maula Jatt helped popularise Pakistani films worldwide and how it continues to delight viewers everywhere.
As Pakistan’s first release to surpass PKR150 crore, The Legend of Maula Jatt’s winning streak continues! More than PKR 150 crore have been made at the Pakistani and international box offices thanks to the film’s director, Bilal Lashari.
The tweet from the movie’s official Twitter account contained the announcement. A tweet stated, “The Legend of Maula Jatt sets a new record for Pakistani cinema with 150 Crore, taking the global box office by storm.”
The Legend of Maula Jatt has succeeded in unseating popular Indian movies at the UK box office in less than 20 days since its release.
Previously, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s Brahmastra was edging out Mahira Khan and Fawad Khan’s epic at the UK box office. The Ayan Mukerji-directed film has now been surpassed by the Ammara Hikmat production.
The movie has made £1.045 million at the box office, while Brahmastra has made £1.036 million. The movie from Lashari can’t be stopped.
“Considering that the three biggest cinema chains, which account for more than 50% of the cinemas in the country, have not supported the most expensive film of Pakistan, the Box Office Gross every day is astronomical and has never been seen before in the history of Pakistan industry,” said Nadeem Mandviwalla, CEO of Mandviwalla Entertainment. In my 42 years, there has never been a movie that has performed as well.
