teaser for film ‘Barzakh’, featuring Fawad Khan and Sanam Saeed, has been unveiled

Fan-favorite duo Fawad Khan and Sanam Saeed reunite for an eagerly anticipated new web series titled “Barzakh.”

Known for their captivating chemistry in “Zindagi Gulzar Hai,” the Pakistani power couple is set to charm audiences once again in this production.

Directed by the acclaimed Asim Abbasi, whose previous works include “Cake” and “Churails,” “Barzakh” is a Zee5 production filmed against the stunning backdrops of Hunza and Karachi, Pakistan. The series highlights the scenic beauty of the City of Quaid and the picturesque tourist destination of Hunza, showcasing the diverse landscapes of Pakistan.

Featuring an all-Pakistani cast, alongside Fawad Khan and Sanam Saeed, the series includes performances by Faiza Gilani, Iman Suleiman, Khushal Khan, Aniqa Zulfikar Ali, Salman Shahid, and Franco Giust. The teaser offers a tantalizing glimpse into the narrative, revealing brief but intriguing moments with the main characters.

Notably, Fawad Khan and Sanam Saeed are depicted applying eye cream in front of a mirror, hinting at the series’ exploration of personal and introspective themes.

The storyline revolves around the second marriage of a 76-year-old man, delving into themes of love, family dynamics, and societal expectations. Filming for ‘Barzakh’ concluded in March 2022, and the series gained attention after being presented at the French Film Festival in February 2023.

Scheduled to premiere on July 19, 2024, ‘Barzakh’ will be available for streaming on Zee5 and the Zindagi channel. It promises to deliver a compelling narrative enriched with cultural nuances, offering audiences a captivating viewing experience that blends heartfelt storytelling with the scenic splendor of Pakistan’s landscapes.
