Renowned Pakistani actress Resham has made serious accusations against director Syed Noor, alleging that he derailed her film career during a recent podcast appearance.
Resham, a beloved figure in Pakistani cinema, began her acting career on television and went on to star in several successful TV and film projects, including ‘Jeeva’ and ‘Sangam.’ Despite her early success, Resham has stepped back from acting in recent years, focusing much of her time on charity work.
During the podcast, Resham reflected on her career and the state of Pakistani cinema, stating, “I recently heard Syed Noor remark that I was an unfortunate actress because I ruined myself by working in low-budget productions.”
She defended her choices, arguing that every actor experiences a mix of good and bad projects.
“Show me an actor who has only done good work. We all have our ups and downs, but everyone thinks only Resham made bad films,” she lamented.
Resham accused Noor of professional betrayal, especially after he developed feelings for actress Saima, whom he then primarily cast in his films.
“Syed Noor was the only director who understood my acting style, but he stopped offering me roles because of his affection for Saima Ji,” she said.
Resham declared emphatically, “By God, Syed Noor ruined my career. He insulted me on set, questioning who would cast me in their films.”
