Controversy Erupts as Somy Ali Invites Jailed Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi for Zoom Call Amid Threats to Salman Khan

Somy Ali Sparks Controversy by Inviting Jailed Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi for Zoom Call Amid Threats to Salman Khan

Somy Ali, the former girlfriend of Bollywood star Salman Khan, has ignited controversy with her invitation to jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi for a Zoom call. This development comes amid heightened security for Khan due to recent threats from Bishnoi’s gang.

In an Instagram post, Ali expressed her curiosity about how Bishnoi manages to conduct Zoom calls from prison and requested a conversation with him. Following the murder of Baba Siddique, a close associate of Khan, security measures for the star have been significantly intensified.

Ali, who dated Khan in the 1990s, drew attention with her recent gesture, especially given the current climate of threats against Khan. On October 17, 2024, she shared a direct message on Instagram to Bishnoi, who is incarcerated at Sabarmati Central Jail.

In her message, she wrote: “Namaste, Lawrence bhai. I’ve heard and seen that you’re conducting Zoom calls from jail, and I’d like to discuss a few things with you. Please let me know how that’s possible. Rajasthan is my favorite place, and I want to visit your temple for a prayer, but let’s have the Zoom call first. Trust me, this chat is for your benefit. Please share your mobile number; I’d appreciate it. Thank you.”

This post follows the murder of Baba Siddique, for which Bishnoi’s gang claimed responsibility and issued threats to Khan’s associates. In response to these developments, Khan’s security has been bolstered.

Additionally, the Navi Mumbai police recently arrested Sukha, a member of Bishnoi’s gang, in Panipat, Haryana, in connection with an alleged plot to kill Khan. Sukha is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, following a shooting incident outside Khan’s residence in Bandra in April.
