Shahrukh Khan’s Blockbuster
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s latest movie, Jawan, has stormed the Indian box office. Director Atlee’s film, released on September 7, achieved record-breaking opening figures, raking in a whopping 750 million Indian rupees.
As the film enters its second week in theaters, it continues to impress, collecting Rs210 million on its ninth day, according to an industry tracker. As per Sacnilk, Jawan has now accumulated a domestic nett collection of Rs4.11 billion in India. Remarkably, it has secured the third-highest-grossing position among Hindi releases in 2023.

The top spot is held by SRK’s Pathaan, which earned Rs5.4 billion upon its January release. Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 is in the second spot, generating Rs5.17 billion and still running in theaters.
What makes Jawan’s collections even more remarkable is that it has surpassed Pathaan in terms of domestic nett collections within the same timeframe. After nine days in theaters, Pathaan had grossed Rs3.64 billion, as reported by Bollywood Hungama, which is Rs377.3 million less than Jawan’s earnings during the equivalent period.
Anticipation is high that Shahrukh Khan’s blockbuster Jawan will easily cross the Rs5 billion domestic nett collections mark during its second weekend. Red Chillies Entertainment, the production house behind the film, has reported that Jawan has already achieved a worldwide gross of around Rs7 billion.
The team shared this impressive figure on Instagram during a press meet celebrating the film’s success on its eighth day.
According to Box Office Worldwide, the worldwide gross figure surpass Rs7.35 billion on the ninth day. At this rate, the film is well on its way to crossing the Rs10 billion mark in its third week.
