This year, Shah Rukh Khan will make his return to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to host the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards, which are set to take place on Yas Island.
Since the awards’ inception in 2000, the Raees actor has been closely associated with IIFA, taking on various roles such as host, performer, star, and award recipient.
In 2017, to mark his 25 years in the film industry, he received special recognition at the IIFA Awards held in New York.
Shah Rukh Khan has garnered several IIFA awards over the years, including Best Actor for Veer-Zaara (2005), Best Actor for Devdas (2003), and Best Actor for My Name is Khan (2011).
Notable moments include his 2013 medley of blockbuster performances and his rendition of Veer-Zaara songs in 2005, both of which have left a lasting impact on audiences.
According to a press release issued by the organizers ahead of the event, the “Baadshah of Bollywood” has become more than just a participant at the IIFA Awards; he has become one of its most iconic pillars.
Thanks to his significant contributions, IIFA has grown into an international film festival celebrating Indian cinema. His remarkable performances and speeches have elevated the event to new heights, leaving an indelible mark on IIFA’s legacy.
