Selena Gomez Broke down her ‘haunted’ relationship with Justin Bieber-“The best thing that ever happened to me”

Selena Gomez, a Hollywood A-lister, recently discussed her “haunted” relationship with Justin Bieber and even revealed how long it took to get  ‘Lose You To Love Me’ out on paper.

In her recently released Apple TV+ documentary Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me, she made the admission.

In her opening statement, Gomez described the moment she felt “finally ready” to share her story. “Being honest that night helped. I texted Julia Michaels and Justin Tranter and said, ‘I think I’m ready to just say I’m sad.”

For those who are unaware, Lose You To Love Me ultimately turned out to be one of Gomez’s biggest hits to date and landed at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 for days.

Even more so, she revealed a little-known fact about songwriting, saying, “We wrote the song in 45 minutes.”

Throughout the film, Gomez continued, “It’s about more than just a lost love,” she said. “I’m learning to choose life and myself, and I’m also hoping that others will find grace and peace in that.”

“The song is about knowing that you completely lost every part of who you are, just to rediscover yourself again.”

“Everything was so public,” Gomez recalled in the midst of it all. A past relationship that no one wanted to let go of haunted me. But then I just moved on. And I was no longer afraid.”

“Then I just forget everything.” It was extremely perplexing. But I believe it was necessary, and it was ultimately the best thing that ever happened to me.”
