Salman Khan Resumes ‘Sikandar’ Shoot Amid Death Threats

Salman Khan

Actor Salman Khan has officially begun shooting for his highly anticipated film Sikandar as scheduled, despite facing alarming death threats from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.

According to various media reports from India, production insiders confirmed that filming commenced on Tuesday, October 22, without any delays or interruptions in his work schedule.

Given the seriousness of the situation, high-level security measures have been implemented to ensure the actor’s safety on set. A source close to the production revealed, “Salman is fully committed to his projects. He has been filming Bigg Boss 18 under tight security and has now transitioned to Sikandar without any disruptions.”

The actor’s determination to avoid setbacks is evident as he plans to continue filming through the upcoming Diwali celebrations next week.

Sikandar, directed by the acclaimed AR Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, is one of the most eagerly awaited films of 2025.

The film features a stellar cast that includes Rashmika Mandanna, Suniel Shetty, and Kajal Aggarwal, promising an exciting cinematic experience.

Scheduled for a grand release on Eid, March 30, 2025, Sikandar follows Salman Khan’s previous big-screen appearance in Tiger 3, which was released during the Diwali season in 2023.

In light of the recent threats, Salman Khan has enhanced his security with the addition of a new Nissan Patrol SUV, imported from Dubai at an estimated cost of $240,000.

This luxury vehicle is equipped with advanced safety features, including bulletproof armor, and is powered by a 5.6-litre V8 petrol engine with a four-wheel-drive system. This SUV is now an essential part of Khan’s comprehensive security strategy, especially as concerns regarding his safety escalate.

The recent threats to Salman Khan’s life have been serious. He received a menacing message from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, demanding over $600,000 to settle their ongoing feud with the actor.

This threatening communication was sent via WhatsApp, warning that failure to comply would result in dire consequences for Khan, implying that his fate could be worse than that of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddiqui.

This isn’t the first time that the Bollywood superstar has been targeted by the Bishnoi gang. In 2022, a threatening letter was discovered near his residence, and earlier in March 2023, an email allegedly sent by gang members raised alarms about his safety.

The situation further escalated in January 2024, when security around Salman Khan was heightened after two unidentified individuals attempted to break into his farmhouse in Panvel, utilizing fake identities.

As Salman Khan navigates the complexities of his career amidst these threats, his resolve to continue working on Sikandar highlights both his dedication to his craft and the need for heightened vigilance in the face of adversity.
