Bollywood actor Salman Khan is on high alert following multiple threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, prompting him to enhance his security measures, including the purchase of a second bulletproof SUV.
This decision comes after the gang recently claimed responsibility for the murder of Baba Siddique in Mumbai.
Khan’s new vehicle, a Nissan Patrol SUV imported from Dubai, cost around $240,000. It features advanced safety mechanisms, including bulletproof protection, and is equipped with a powerful 5.6-liter V8 petrol engine and a four-wheel-drive system. This SUV serves as a critical defense amid rising security concerns.
This marks the second bulletproof car Salman has acquired from Dubai in response to escalating threats from Bishnoi, who has targeted him since the actor’s involvement in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case. The blackbuck is considered sacred by the Bishnoi community, putting Khan in the crosshairs of the imprisoned gangster.
In light of recent events, Salman Khan’s security has been significantly intensified. Authorities are on high alert following Siddique’s murder, and Khan’s security detail has been expanded to ensure his safety.
Adding to the tension, Khan recently received a WhatsApp message from the Bishnoi gang demanding over $600,000 to end their feud.
The message ominously warned that if the payment was not made, Khan’s fate would be “worse than that of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddiqui.” This latest threat has been reported to the Mumbai traffic police, further raising concerns about the actor’s safety.
The Mumbai police are currently working to verify the authenticity of the threat, and security measures around Khan’s Bandra residence have been heightened.
As for Lawrence Bishnoi, he remains incarcerated at the Sabarmati Central Jail in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, with reports indicating he has been moved between various facilities due to safety concerns and potential violations of jail regulations.
