PTI MNA Aamir Liaquat Divorced and Marries (Again)

Syeda Tuba Anwar announced her divorce from the TV show host and PTI MNA Aamir Liaquat on social media and on the same day, Aamir Liaquat announced his marriage to Syeda Dania Shah.

It was very surprising for everyone as both news came in less than 24 hours, on 9th February, Wednesday. This became a hot topic trending on different social media platforms.

Anwar announced the news to her Instagram followers on February 9th. “I want to make people aware of a change in my life with a heavy heart,” she stated. “My close family and friends know that after a 14-month separation, there was no possibility for reconciliation, and I had no choice but to get khula from the court.”

“I cannot convey how terrible it has been,” she continued, “but I believe Allah and His plans.” She stated that during these trying circumstances, she wants everyone to respect her privacy and her decision.

In 2018, Liaquat, 49, married Anwar, a 28-year-old media executive. Syed Bushra Iqbal, his first wife, rushed to social media after the marriage was announced to express her disappointment. Liaquat, she claimed, divorced her over the phone.

After actor and model Haniya Khan claimed to be Liaquat’s wife, rumours of a third marriage surfaced in 2021. In an Instagram video, the Aalim Online host rejected the claim, adding, “I only have one marriage, which is with Tuba.”

The rumour mill was at it again in June, this time alleging the pair had divorced. At the time, Liaquat refuted the report. He also shared an Instagram video of Anwar’s Twitter bio, which said “Proud Wife of Aamir Liaquat.” He said that this was proof that the two were not divorced. He then converted the “pawri” meme and stated, “This is Tuba’s account. This is me, and everything is rubbish.”

Liaquat, 49, announced his marriage on different social media platforms, “I tied the marriage with Syeda Dania Shah, 18, last night,” he claimed. “She is a member of the renowned Najeeb ut Tarfain ‘Sadaat’ family of Lodhran, Punjab. She is Saraiki, wonderful, cute, simple, and adorable. I’d like to ask all of my well-wishers to pray for us; I’ve just travelled through a dark tunnel and gotten out of a bad path.” In the message, he also tagged various news outlets including, oddly enough, an unverified Election Commission of Pakistan account.
