Politicians love to act and Now to Fund Lollywood: Film producers meet Fawad Chaudhary to discuss industry’s policy

There is space for cooperation with Saudi Arabia and China which could prove fruitful in this regard.

In order to discuss film policy, the Film Producers Association called on Federal Minister for Information and Broadcast Fawad Chaudhary in Islamabad.

While talking online, Fawad Chaudhary said on this occasion that revival and advancement of the film industry is one of the top priorities of the Pakistani govt. We have to transform the decline of the film industry and focus on its progress and advancement.

The Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting directed the association of film producers to form a focal group for exports and furthermore highlighted that cooperation with Saudi Arabia and China could be fruitful in this regard.

Two focal groups could be formed in which one focal group should focus on gulf countries while the other on China.

“We have to promote Pakistan’s soft and brighter image globally,” said Fawad.

While mentioning the need for creativity, Fawad Chaudhary said that we will have to focus on the best of creativity, a combination of technology, and good content.

About what the government is doing in this regard, the minister said that govt is creating ways for tax concessions for the film industry and also taking other important steps.
