Lucky Star: Bollywood Star Farhan Akhtar starring in Hollywood’s Marvel Studio’s project

The Bollywood’s Farhan Akhtar is working on Marvel Studio project and currently shooting in Thailand, sources revealed.

A source told The Times of India that Akhtar had already departed for Bangkok from Mumbai, saying,

“Farhan is currently stationed in Bangkok, along with an international cast and crew, for the shoot of a project with Marvel Studios, who are known to be one of the biggest film studios worldwide.”

Unfortunately the details of the project could not be acquired as to what role he is playing, how important the role is, how long is the project etcetera. Other details of the project are also strictly under wraps, the source said.

Marvel Studios — the studio behind the biggest movie franchise of all time in terms of box office returns, the Marvel Cinematic Universe — has been in the works for their film Ms. Marvel, set to premiere in late 2021. It was reported earlier that some filming for the movie will be done in Thailand, after they’re done shooting in Atlanta, but we’d rather not connect too many dots.

Farhan Akhtar’s next film is set to start streaming on Amazon Prime from May 21, 2021. The film, directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, features Akhtar as a national-level boxer. He co-stars with Mrunal Thakur and Paresh Rawal.
