“Liger” Director Puri Jagannadh reveals that Ananya Panday was never the first choice for the Movie

The Liger director, Puri Jagannadh, recently revealed in a promotional interview that Janhvi Kapoor was his preferred option for the role rather than Ananya Panday.

Since Janhvi Kapoor is a big fan of Sridevi, the director wanted to cast her, but her dates weren’t accessible, according to Hindustan Times.

Puri stated, “I am a big fan of Sridevi Ji, hence I wanted to cast Janhvi Kapoor, but her dates were not available,” during a media event on Tuesday in Mumbai. He claimed that when Janhvi’s dates were unavailable, he approached Karan Johar to discuss potential leads for the movie. After hearing the story, he (Karan Johar) proposed to Ananya Pandey, according to Puri.

Liger, starring Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya, will begin playing in theatres on August 25.

In addition to English, it will also be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
