Just weeks after the German sportswear giant ended its partnership with the US rapper, Kanye West is the subject of an investigation after a report detailed alleged inappropriate behavior.
Adidas issued a statement saying, “At this time, it is unclear whether the allegations made in an anonymous letter are true.
However, we have decided to immediately begin an independent investigation into the matter to address the allegations because we take them very seriously.
It comes after US publication Rolling Stone reported that former members of the “Yeezy” team had written a letter alleging Adidas executives knew about the behaviour, which persisted for years, but did nothing about it.
The report claimed that an investigation was ongoing for allegedly indecent items and an intimate photo of Kanye West’s ex-wife Kim Kardashian in job interviews, citing former unnamed Yeezy and Adidas staff.
