LOS ANGELES — Kanye West is running for president… once again.
According to a video posted by X17Online over the weekend, the rapper appears to have confirmed his presidential bid, saying in part, “We’re moving toward the future.”
West claimed that far-right commentator Milo Yiannopoulos, a former intern for Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, is helping him with his campaign.
Ye is seen in the video saying, “This is Milo right here, working on the campaign,” and wearing clothing with the words “YE 24” printed on it.
In the dozen states where West was on the ballot in the 2020 election, he received about 60,000 votes as an independent candidate. He had asked to be included in another race as a write-in candidate.
The affirmation follows the recent restoration of West’s Twitter account following Elon Musk’s takeover of the social media network. After posting anti-Semitic comments in October, West was suspended for breaking Twitter’s rules.
“A test I’m checking to see if Twitter is blocked “On Sunday afternoon, he tweeted.
Additionally, this occurs less than a week after former President Donald Trump declared his intention to run for office again in 2024.
President Joe Biden, who turned 80 over the weekend and says he plans to run for reelection in 2024, could face Trump in a rematch as a result of Trump’s candidacy.
Additionally, Trump recently had his Twitter account restored after Musk surveyed users. As a result of the Capitol riot that happened on January 6, 2021, Trump was blocked from Twitter.
