Humayun Saeed: Pakistani girls prefer me to Thor

PK and Sanju, according to Humayun Saeed, could not even come close to matching the box office success of Humayun’s films in India. He said that when a local film is a hit in India; it brings in a lot of money.

Humayun Saeed is a well-known personality in Pakistan’s media landscape. One of the most prominent actors and producers in the industry, as well as a co-owner of a production company named Six Sigma Plus.

His roles in Jawani Phir Nai Ani (2015) and Jawani Phir Nai Ani 2 (2018), both critically acclaimed films in Pakistan, earned him the ARY Award for Best Actor. The film London Nahi Jaunga, starring the actor, is scheduled for release soon.

The estimated release date of when the film will be released is around Eid Ul Azha in 2022.

“I tell you one thing, Shahrukh and Salman are the heroes of a big film industry but when a Pakistani film gets hit in Pakistan, it does more business than any other movie, you have to keep your statistics intact about it as JPNA & PNJ did great business while international movies were also released in the meantime,” said the actor in a recent interview.

PK and Sanju, according to Humayun Saeed, could not even come close to matching the box office success of Humayun’s films in India. He said that when a local film is a hit in India, it brings in a lot of money.

“It’s love for actors of your own country which makes people embrace their good work,” said the JPNA actor.

Thor

Also, he was cited as claiming that Pakistanis prefer Humayun and Fahad to Thor.

An online backlash ensued, with many questioning the actor’s remark and accusing him of going too far in promoting his new picture. Even though he said that JPNA was a terrific film, he was clearly exaggerating the film’s quality. Others believe that this confidence is destroying the industry.
