Tesla CEO Elon Musk has addressed recent media reports concerning the birth of his third child with Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis earlier this year, breaking his silence on the matter.
Musk clarified to Page Six that contrary to claims of secrecy, the arrival of his new baby was not undisclosed among their circle.
“In terms of ‘secretly fathered,’ that is also false,” Musk stated. “All our friends and family know. The absence of a press release, which would be unusual, does not equate to secrecy.”
The revelation of Musk’s 12th child surfaced in a Bloomberg article that explored his views on birth rates and population decline, a topic he has openly discussed.
“Many countries are already below replacement rate, and this trend will likely continue for most,” Musk elaborated to Page Six, underscoring his perspective as grounded in factual trends rather than speculative theories.
Musk, who welcomed twins Strider and Azure with Zilis in November 2021, shares a complex family dynamic with alt-pop singer Grimes, with whom he has three children: X Æ A-12, Exa Dark Sideræl, and Techno Mechanicus.
Currently, Grimes is involved in a legal dispute with Musk over parental rights to their offspring.
Beyond his recent children, Musk has twins Griffin and Vivian and triplets Kai, Saxon, and Damian from his marriage to Justine Musk, with whom he tragically lost their eldest child, Nevada, to sudden infant death syndrome at 10 weeks.
Elon Musk’s remarks to Page Six provide clarity amidst ongoing media coverage, emphasizing transparency in his personal life while highlighting his ongoing concerns about demographic trends and their societal implications.
