‘College Gate’ or Pakistani ‘Elite’: Netizens take jabs at Green Entertainment’s new offering

Twitter claims to have discovered a Pakistani copy of the hit Netflix programme Elite. The first trailer for the new drama series College Gate has been revealed, and social media users are ecstatic.

It is true that our television screens lack dramas depicting the lives of teens and young people. Among the glut of saas-bahu and romantic dramas, Green Entertainment is releasing a new drama dubbed College Gate.

The drama takes place in a private college and follows the lives of a group of young people from various backgrounds.

The coming-of-age drama, directed by Fahim Burney and written by Ateeq Inayat and Ali Sikandar, is produced by A & F Productions in partnership with Multiverse Entertainment.

In Addition, The executive producer is Fasih Ur Rehman.

Green Entertainment, is an anticipated TV station that will debut on April 28.

Trailer- College Gate

A wistful voiceover in College Gate’s trailer claims that people commonly refer to the years spent within the college gate as “golden days” because of their beauty.

The video introduces a bunch of pals who appear to be having a great time on their beautiful college campus.

When grownups emerge, the caravan makes a sudden turn. An elderly guy, most likely the principal or another authority figure, forces a pupil to leave while the latter begs forgiveness on his knees.

Also, The trailer then shows a number of scenes and sequences of parents scolding their children and young adults coping with parental pressure and stress with the help of their friends. Each member of the circle of pals has a distinct family history and set of problems.

They, on the other hand, stick by each other through thick and thin.

Furthermore, The clip depicts them dancing, laughing, singing, playing, and enjoying every second of their shared college experience.

“In a world dominated by conformity, a group of college students decides to take the road less travelled in the hopes of discovering themselves and pursuing their dreams.” “How will social norms and generic family dynamics stymie them?” the channel teased in the first look at the episode on Instagram.

Zarrar Khan, Natalia Castillo Shahid, Khaqan Shahnawaz, Hina Chaudhry, Mamia Shajaffar, Shuja Asad, Washma Fatima, Nouman Kahout, and Asad Chaudhry will appear in College Gate.

Additionally, the drama will feature prominent performers like Javed Sheikh, Saba Hameed, and Nadia Hussain.
