BTS members Jungkook, Jimin, and V have been promoted to Corporal in the South Korean military, eliciting pride and excitement from their fans

“Vminkook making us proud!!! :’)” Fans Celebrate as BTS’ Jungkook, Jimin, and V Are Promoted to Corporal

BTS members Jungkook, Jimin, and V have achieved a significant milestone with their promotion to Corporal in the South Korean military. This update, confirmed by the Goondori app—popular among soldiers for tracking rank advancements—marks their transition from Private First Class to Corporal. The trio continues their service following their enlistment in December 2023.

The promotion news has sparked a wave of pride and excitement among BTS fans, known as ARMYs. On social media, fans expressed their joy and admiration. One fan on X (formerly Twitter) wrote, “Vminkook making us proud!!! :’),” while another added, “Oh, we’re so proud of our boys.”

The fan reactions included congratulatory messages and emotional tributes. One user commented, “Maknae line got promoted to Corporal in the military! Congratulations Vminkook.” Another highlighted the special timing of Jungkook’s promotion, noting, “What a coincidence and the news that makes us most proud… Jungkook was promoted and became a corporal on his birthday.”

This promotion is a step towards the highest rank of Sergeant, which the trio might achieve before their military service ends.

Meanwhile, other BTS members are also making strides in their service. RM recently announced his promotion to Corporal, and Jin, who was discharged in June, continues to be a point of pride for fans.

BTS is expected to reunite and return to the spotlight in 2025, once all members have completed their military obligations. Fans are eagerly awaiting their return and continue to support them through every update.
