Alzheimer’s patient forgot he has Alzheimer’s and got his memory back

Melvyn Armine, an Alzheimer’s patient above 60 years of age was an Alzheimer’s patient for almost 3 years. Until one day, his family found out that he wasn’t in the house. It was the day before Mother’s Day and every Mothers’ Day before Alzheimer’s, he would bring his wife Doris, a bouquet of flowers. His family alarmed the police who then found him 2 miles away from the flower shop from where he bought flowers for his wife. He didn’t remember details of proposing or getting married to his wife but something made him remember that Doris was his wife, they had kids, and that he loved her.

It’s special, because even though the mind doesn’t remember everything, the heart remembers.”

said Doris.
