‘Love Language’
KARACHI: Music lovers, get ready — Ali Sethi is set to release his highly anticipated debut album Love Language on August 1, marking a new milestone in his dynamic musical journey.
The Pakistani-American singer, who made waves earlier this year with the hit singles Maya and Tera Sitam, took to Instagram on Thursday to announce the release date of his first full-length studio album.
“Love Language, my first full-length studio album, is out on August 1,” Ali wrote in a caption accompanying a carousel of album visuals. Crediting the artwork and photography team beneath the post, he added a poetic note: “A ragamala rendezvous. I made it for me and you.”
The post features three striking photos that offer a glimpse into the bold aesthetic of the upcoming album. While Ali Sethi doesn’t lean into pop shock value à la Sabrina Carpenter, his visuals are no less captivating — particularly thanks to a dominant and theatrical red theme.
Clad in shiny red leather gloves, a red lace-like shirt, and a dramatic jewelled red headpiece cascading across his face, Ali creates an image that is arresting, regal, and unmistakably his own.
A red-gloved hand — likely Ali’s — points directly at the swirling list of song titles in the second image of the carousel, creating a sense of personal connection and intentional symbolism.
This red motif is carried across the album’s artwork, serving as the color for his name, the title Love Language, and the song names themselves, all set against a muted blue backdrop that only makes the crimson tones pop even more.
The album will include 16 tracks, some already familiar to fans. Alongside Maya and Tera Sitam, the tracklist features eclectic and genre-blending titles such as O Balama (Censored Love Song), Hanera, Rocket Launcher featuring Maanu, Nursery Rhyme (Interlude), Lovely Bukhaar, Jhatka in Jaunpuri (Interlude), Hymn 4 Him (Ghoomray), Villain, Bridegroom, Jadugarni, Kaava, Horizon, Subho Shaam featuring Natania, and Escape From Jhaptaal.
In the final photo of the post, Ali appears deep in thought, one arm raised as if mid-gesture, eyes fixed on something unseen, his face still veiled in a cascade of red chains. His artistry extends well beyond music into visual storytelling, and this teaser makes it clear that Love Language will be as much a visual experience as it is a sonic one.
With the post gathering thousands of likes in just hours, the anticipation among fans is palpable.
Known for his fearless fusion of traditional South Asian music with global sounds and styles, Ali Sethi’s debut album promises to be a deeply personal and artistically bold project that redefines the boundaries of modern music from the region. August 1 is shaping up to be a landmark date — for Ali and for the lovers of his ever-evolving art.
