Actor Tauqeer Nasir alleged that Shah Rukh Khan copied his work, seeks credit from SRK

ISLAMABAD: Senior Pakistani actor Tauqeer Nasir has alleged that Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan copied his work in one of his hit films without giving him credit.

In an interview, Tauqeer Nasir revealed that Shah Rukh Khan often praises his work and sends his regards through various people. While he acknowledged Shah Rukh Khan as a talented actor, he expressed disappointment over the lack of recognition for his own contributions.

Nasir elaborated that Shah Rukh’s role in the hit film “Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna” was a direct copy of his character from the drama “Parwaaz.” He pointed out that even the detail of an injured leg, depicted in the film, was borrowed from his portrayal in the drama.

According to Nasir, “Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna” was essentially based on the story of “Parwaaz,” written by the renowned author Mustansar Hussain Tarar. He asserted that Shah Rukh Khan, and more importantly, the filmmaker Karan Johar, should have given him credit for this inspiration.

The senior actor also mentioned that he has received offers to work in Bollywood films. He recalled one particular offer where Madhuri Dixit was the lead actress, but unfortunately, he could not participate in that project.
