ISLAMABAD: Renowned actor Firdous Jamal’s wife has obtained a divorce after 35 years of marriage, as revealed by their son, Hamza Firdous, in a video message where he shared insights into his mother’s experiences and the family’s complex dynamics.
Hamza stated, “My mother has obtained a divorce from my father. No woman wishes for this after 35 years of marriage.” He shared that his mother endured many difficulties, hoping for positive changes that never came.
Hamza also addressed his father’s behavior, pointing to certain negative habits that caused pain for the family. He explained that he had reached out to his paternal uncles for support, but they refused to acknowledge the issues and sided against the family.
Reflecting on his father’s battle with cancer, Hamza shared the family’s challenges during that time, noting that they made considerable efforts to provide for his treatment. “As sons, it was our duty, but since our father is presenting it as if we did nothing, I feel the need to share these details,” he explained.
He went on to mention that one brother sent funds for the treatment, another stayed by their father’s side in the hospital, and their sister also gave devoted care, but despite their efforts, there was a sense of disconnect.
Hamza recalled a difficult moment when he fainted after seeing his father’s wounds, underscoring the family’s emotional turmoil, especially upon watching his father’s recent interview.
In this interview, Firdous Jamal was asked about feeling isolated during his illness and living in modest conditions. He responded that, after a life filled with chaos, he now seeks solitude and peace, preferring to live alone. He also shared that he currently resides in a rented home.
