SIFC Huddle Approves Projects Aimed at Attracting Foreign Investment

3rd meeting of SIFC’s apex committee held in Islamabad.

ISLAMABAD: The Apex Committee of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) approved multiple projects aimed at attracting investments from friendly countries in various sectors such as agriculture, livestock, mining, IT, and energy.

The 3rd meeting of SIFC‘s apex committee took place in Islamabad Today, with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif chairing the session.

The attendees at the meeting included Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir, provincial Chief Ministers, Federal and Provincial Ministers, and senior government officials.

During the meeting, they expressed their determination to sustain the positive momentum of the Special Investment Facilitation Council initiative. They stressed that the interim government should actively maintain the impetus for making a positive contribution.

During the meeting, the participants appreciated the global impact of the ongoing outreach strategy, which involves seminars and project inaugurations.

They highlighted that this impact would be further strengthened by the upcoming launch of SIFC’s website.

In his speech, the Prime Minister praised the prompt operationalization of SIFC within a short period and its effective functioning through a collaborative approach.

The meeting expressed full support for the successful execution of the forthcoming visit of a high-level delegation from Saudi Arabia to Pakistan, facilitated through the SIFC platform.

The Prime Minister instructed the relevant authorities to ensure that this inaugural visit becomes a momentous event.
