Russian President Putin considers pakistan a key-partner of moscow

ISLAMABAD: Russian President Vladimir Putin considers Pakistan as a key-partner of Moscow in South Asian and the Islamic world.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif today received this special message from Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The visiting Russian Energy Minister Nikolay Shulginov conveyed the special message of Vladimir Putin. Shulginov called on the Prime Minister in Lahore to discuss with him bilateral economic issues.

During the bilateral meeting, PM Shehbaz and Russian Minister discussed the purchase of petroleum products from Russia on discounted rates.

Both the sides also discussed the supply of Russian oil and gas to Pakistan on a long-term basis.

PM Shehbaz welcomed the Russian delegation and he highlighted the significance Pakistan attached to its bilateral ties with Russia.

Premier also recalled his meeting with President Putin in Samarkand in Sept 2022. In that meeting, Pakistan and Russia decided to further strengthen their bilateral diplomatic and economic relationships, he added.
