KARACHI/ISLAMABAD: Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited the International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS) 2022 and launched a made-in-Pakistan armed unmanned aerial vehicle _ Ababeel MR-10.

The 4-day exhibition is showcasing locally made military software and hardware apart from displaying products by international defence producers.

The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that during his visit, army chief inaugurated the indigenously manufactured drone at the IDEAS 2022 at Expo Center in Karachi.

The Ababeel MR-10 is an armed, propeller-driven drone that can carry an ordinance weighing up to 10 kilograms.

The indigenous drone has a range of 30 kilometers and it carries its payload on its ventral side.

Four-day IDEAS 2022 Expo was inaugurated on Nov 16. Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah and other eminent guests participated in the launching ceremony of the mega defence expo in Karachi.
