Canadian girl wins lottery to become millionaire in first attempt

A teenage Canadian girl has become millionaire by winning lottery in her first attempt. She has won $48 million Canadian dollars by hitting the jackpot.

The 18-year Juliette Lamour sought advice from a financial advisor, also her Dad. Juliette is the youngest Canadian to ever win such a significant prize. Her father motivated to buy lottery ticket which changed her life and future dreams.

Many teenagers lose control after becoming millionaire overnight. Juliette, nonetheless, plans to stay grounded.

She wants to complete her education and then pursue a career as a doctor in Canada.

“I was crying, happy tears, of course,” she said at the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation on Friday.

“I still can’t believe I hit the Gold Ball jackpot on my very first lottery ticket!”

She came to know about the lottery when a resident of her community won the jackpot on January 7.

Juliette said she forgot the lottery ticket until she was declared winner.

She said, “A jingle began to play as soon as she opened a smartphone app to check her ticket, and the words “Big Winner” appeared across the screen.”

“My colleague fell to his knees in disbelief,” Juliette said, adding that he and everyone else were yelling.

Juliette said most of the lottery amount would be invested with the advice of her father, who is her financial manager.

She said that it was her father’s idea to buy the Lotto 6/49 quick pick.
