Dubai is launching the Gold District and the first Gold Street to demonstrate its leadership in the ornaments sector and attract tourists, investors, and traders.
Dubai is set to reinforce its status as a leading global hub for gold and jewellery with the official launch of the new Dubai Gold District. The landmark project aims to elevate the emirate’s position in international gold trade while offering a distinctive attraction for investors, traders, and tourists.
Authorities confirmed that Dubai will also introduce the world’s first “Gold Street,” a one-of-a-kind road constructed entirely from gold in the historic Deira area.
Dubai Gold District to unite trade, retail, and investment
Officials said the Dubai Gold District will bring together retail outlets, wholesale traders, bullion dealers, and investment services within a single, integrated ecosystem. This unified model will simplify business operations and strengthen collaboration across the entire gold and jewellery value chain.
Moreover, the district is expected to enhance transparency, efficiency and innovation in the sector. More than 1,000 retailers are likely to operate within the district, which underscores Dubai’s enduring reputation as the “City of Gold.” Consequently, industry leaders believe the initiative will attract greater foreign investment and further boost the emirate’s competitiveness in global markets.
Gold Street to emerge as iconic tourist attraction
Authorities revealed that the upcoming Gold Street will serve not only as a commercial feature but also as a cultural and tourism landmark. The street will symbolise Dubai’s historic connection with gold trading while showcasing its modern ambition and creativity.
Officials added that they will unveil the project’s detailed designs, master plans and precise location in carefully planned phases. This approach will maintain public interest and allow stakeholders to contribute to the project’s development.
A senior UAE government official said the Gold District and Gold Street will reflect both Dubai’s commercial heritage and its evolving role as a global centre for gold trade.
Therefore, the initiative represents a strategic step toward strengthening economic diversification while celebrating the emirate’s identity.
Gold fans believe the unique project will attract significant international attention and redefine luxury, commerce and tourism.
