ISLAMABAD: The postmortem report of Dr Warda has confirmed critical details about her death. The report stated that she died from a fractured neck bone and suffocation. It was received by the media as investigators continued to examine the case. Officials said the findings have been forwarded for further forensic analysis. They said the evidence will support a thorough investigation into the killing.
Medical Superintendent Dr Amir Israr said a seven-member team conducted the postmortem. He said the body was handed to the family after the procedure. Dr Warda was a mother of two and lived with her father in Abbottabad. Her husband works in South Korea and is expected to return on December 11.
Police outline planned abduction and murder
Police said the doctor was abducted from Benazir Shaheed District Hospital on December 4. They said her friend Rida took her from the hospital to an under-construction house. They added that suspects named Nadeem, Parvez and Shamraiz waited there. Investigators said Nadeem planned the crime. They said the killing involved kidnapping and murder charges.
District Police Officer Haroon Rasheed said four suspects participated in the murder. He said police have arrested three individuals. He added that the case includes multiple sections for serious offences.
Family alleges bribery within police ranks
The victim’s father accused police of accepting bribes in the case. He demanded the arrest of the SHO and DSP. He said the officers failed to act in a timely manner. Police said the investigation remains active. They said legal action will follow against all responsible individuals.
