Sardaar Ji 3
Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh has officially wrapped up filming for the highly anticipated Sardaar Ji 3, with the film set to hit theatres on June 27.
The announcement was made by Diljit himself through an Instagram post, where he shared a series of photos of himself looking effortlessly stylish next to a motorcycle, dressed in a leather jacket and denim. His trademark swagger was evident as he shared his excitement about the project’s completion.
In his signature playful style, Diljit captioned the post, saying, “Sardaar Ji 3 releasing 27th June. Finally, shoot finish ho geya. Sari team ne baut mehnat kiti aa. Baba bhaag lavey. Milde an theaters ch! BOOOOOOO… Main tan dar gi!” This message, in his usual fun-filled tone, revealed the hard work that had gone into making the film and gave fans a reason to look forward to its release.

The Sardaar Ji franchise, which has become a cornerstone of Punjabi cinema, first made waves in 2015 with the release of the original film. Directed by Rohit Jugraj, the film was a breakthrough in Punjabi cinema, combining fantasy, horror, and comedy in a unique way.
Diljit Dosanjh played the lead role of Jaggi, a ghostbuster who is called to London to drive away a troublesome ghost, only to fall in love with her. The film’s unique plot, paired with excellent comic timing, was a major hit, garnering massive box office success.
The success of the first film led to the release of Sardaar Ji 2 in 2016, where Diljit Dosanjh returned in a triple role, alongside Monica Gill and Sonam Bajwa.
In this sequel, the story shifted to a farmer who faces unexpected challenges after migrating abroad in an attempt to save his village from financial ruin. Though it did not replicate the success of the original, it still resonated with fans.
Now, with Sardaar Ji 3 on the horizon, fans are eagerly awaiting another round of supernatural comedy and Diljit’s infectious charm. Despite the anticipation for the new film, Diljit’s recent critically acclaimed performance in Amar Singh Chamkila continues to impress audiences, cementing his place as a versatile actor.
He is also set to appear in Punjab ’95, a historical drama based on the life of human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra, alongside Arjun Rampal and Suvinder Vicky. With these exciting projects, Diljit Dosanjh remains a major force in both the Punjabi film industry and beyond.
