ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted cold and dry weather across various regions of the country for Thursday.
According to the daily forecast, “continental air prevails over most parts of the country,” leading to cold and dry conditions in most areas. However, very cold and partly cloudy weather is expected in the hilly areas on February 14 (tomorrow).
Rain and snowfall are expected at isolated locations in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan, while light rain and partly cloudy weather may occur in northwestern Balochistan on February 15.
The PMD has predicted rain with winds and snowfall over the hills in GB, upper KP, northwestern Balochistan, Kashmir, Murree, Galliyat, and the Pothohar Region on February 16.
On Wednesday, cold and dry weather dominated most regions, with isolated rain and snowfall reported in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir.
The lowest temperatures recorded over the past 24 hours included: Leh at -9ยฐC, Gupis at -5ยฐC, and Quetta, Hunza, Astore, and Parachinar at -3ยฐC. Malam Jabba, Kalat, Skardu, and Kalam recorded temperatures of -2ยฐC.
