Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir paid an official visit to Bahawalpur Cantonment, where he received a comprehensive briefing on the operational preparedness and ongoing training programs of the Bahawalpur Corps.
During his visit, the army chief addressed officers and troops, acknowledging their unwavering commitment, exceptional morale, and high level of combat readiness.
In his speech, General Asim Munir underscored the importance of rigorous training as the backbone of a soldier’s professional growth.
He emphasized that continuous training and skill enhancement are crucial for tackling the evolving complexities of modern warfare. He reiterated that the Pakistan Army remains committed to maintaining peak operational preparedness through disciplined training programs and technological advancements.
As part of his visit, General Munir inaugurated three significant initiatives aimed at strengthening the fields of medical education, technological innovation, and combat training. These projects include:
- CMH Institute of Medical Sciences (CIMS): A state-of-the-art medical education facility designed to advance healthcare research and professional training. The institute aims to equip future medical professionals with cutting-edge knowledge and skills, ultimately contributing to the healthcare sector’s development.
- Innovista Cholistan: A technology-driven initiative focused on fostering advancements in IT and digital innovation. This project aims to enhance technological capabilities and promote innovation within Pakistan’s tech sector.
- Integrated Combat Simulator Arena: A sophisticated combat simulation facility designed to enhance the training and preparedness of army personnel. This modern facility will enable realistic training exercises, providing soldiers with a hands-on experience of combat scenarios.
These initiatives reflect the Pakistan Army’s broader vision of strengthening national institutions in medical education, technology, and military training.
During his visit to the CMH Institute of Medical Sciences, General Asim Munir engaged with university students from across Bahawalpur.
He reaffirmed the army’s dedication to fostering young talent and encouraged students to pursue academic excellence with determination. He stressed that Pakistan’s future lies in the hands of its youth and urged them to acquire skills that contribute to the nation’s progress.
The army chief further reiterated that the Pakistan Army remains committed to supporting initiatives that empower young people and provide them with opportunities for growth. He emphasized that education and skill development play a vital role in shaping Pakistan’s future leaders.
Earlier, upon his arrival at Bahawalpur Cantonment, General Asim Munir was warmly received by the Bahawalpur Corps commander, who accompanied him throughout his visit.
