ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir has lauded the Pakistani media for its pivotal role in countering Indian propaganda, praising both the courage and professionalism shown by journalists and media institutions.
In an informal interaction with journalists, Gen Munir emphasized the transparency with which recent developments have been presented to the public.
“We have hidden nothing. Everything has been communicated to the nation with clarity and honesty,” he said.
He commended the media’s contribution to fostering national unity, stating, “Our media has played a vital role in projecting Pakistan’s image as a vigilant, resilient, and united country.”
Highlighting the strategic importance of responsible journalism in the current geopolitical climate, Gen Munir noted, “The way our journalists confronted Indian narratives—boldly and intelligently—was truly commendable. We are proud of our journalists and media institutions.”
The Army Chief’s remarks come amid heightened regional tensions, with media playing a critical role in shaping public perception and countering disinformation.
