Lahore — Chung police have successfully cracked the case involving the shooting at the residence of popular YouTuber Rajab Butt, following a series of targeted raids across the city.
In a major breakthrough, police arrested two key suspects, Kashif Chauhan and Farrukh, who confessed during initial interrogation that they opened fire on the orders of an individual identified as Shani Tiger.
According to police sources, two more individuals, Usman and Luqman, were also present in the vehicle used during the shooting incident. The investigation has uncovered that a social media dispute between Rajab Butt and Shehzad Bhatti escalated tensions. Bhatti allegedly contacted Shani Tiger to carry out the attack.
Acting on intelligence, Chung police launched coordinated raids in multiple areas, including Valencia, leading to the swift apprehension of the suspects. All arrested individuals have now been handed over to the Crime Scene Investigation Department (CCD) for further interrogation.
Authorities confirmed that the investigation remains ongoing to identify any additional suspects or facilitators connected to the incident.
The shooting had stirred concern among Rajab Butt’s followers and the wider online community. However, the swift response by law enforcement has brought relief and reassurance, marking a significant step forward in ensuring the safety of public figures and online influencers.
