ISLAMABAD: Nong Rong, Ambassador of China to Pakistan, today thanked the army chief for taking special measures for the provision of a safe and secure environment to CPEC projects in Pakistan and efforts towards regional stability, ISPR said.
The Chinese envoy also expressed satisfaction over progress on CPEC projects and reaffirmed the need for timely completion of remaining projects of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
Chinese envoy expressed these views in a meeting with Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa at Generals Headquarters in Rawalpindi today (Jan 20).
According to ISPR, matters pertaining to regional security situation and measures to further enhance bilateral cooperation came under discussion during the meeting of the Chinese Ambassador and army chief.
On the occasion, COAS Bajwa said that Pakistan remains committed to cooperating with its international partners for peace in the region.
